Hi folks, my many years of exploratory cooking has taught me that not all kitchen gadgets are the same. Not all knives are the same, as not all blenders are the same; especially when you're making frozen drinks. Well, with the warm weather happening up us, I have a work-around especially for those that may not have a really powerful blender i.e. vitamix,
ninja, margaritaville, etc.
I will use the Dove Chocolate Discoveries New White Chocolate Mango Mojito Mix as an example. (Photo credit)
It comes in a easy to mix packet with instruction on who much liquid and ice to blend it with. What I recommend is blending mixes/powder and liquid separately from the ice.
That way you can be sure to get the lumps out and end up with a nice even flavor mixture.
Next, crush ice
as best you can in the blender. Once the two are ready, add liquid to
blender first then the crushed/broken ice and power up. The now smaller
pieces of ice should easily create a nice slushy margarita type of drink. Or, just crush in some extra mint leaves, stir in some ice and garnish to create a mojito any mixologist would be proud off. (Photo credit)
